My baby is 6

Wow! I cannot believe it has been 6 years since we brought our baby girl home from the hospital!! It seems like yesterday that she came into this world with a head full of almost BLACK hair and the chubbiest cheeks you have ever seen in your whole life!!













She makes me laugh almost daily with her diva attitude and clumsy self! I did not know that diva and clumsy went together but she pulls it off! lol! She is getting so big and you can tell she is no longer a baby like I would LOVE her to be! She still crawls up in her daddy's lap to sit when its just us here and sometimes she just wants to be held while we are on the couch! Oh how I could just freeze those moments.. :)

We started her birthday weekend off with Libby Lu makeovers! I took Brooke, Caroline and Emma and we made an afternoon of it.. They each had a makeover, adopted a pooch and made some fabulous body creams and lotions while they were there. I swear we were there for over 2 hours, just playing in all the things girly! :0) After Libby Lu, we came home and got dressed so that we could open presents and have Emma's birthday dinner. She picked King Buffet, (The same place she picked last year) for dinner. After dinner, we walked next door to the Marble Slab Creamery and had ice cream.. YUM!! The kids loved it and Dad did too. I am not much of an ice cream eater so I just kept everyone else supplies with napkins and such! :) here are some pics from our day on Friday!











Sunday we had her birthday party with friends and family.. We had it at the Little Gym in Jones Valley. The kids had a great time and we got to see some of Emma's little friends from kindergarten and her sister and brother were there, which made her smile as well! Here are some pics from the party! I got a new VACUUM CLEANER!!

Ok, soooo normally, I would not be all that excited about a gadget that I have to clean with BUT this is no ordinary gadget! :0) As soon as we got to town tonight, we went out to eat and then headed over to HH Gregg to look at thier refridgerators.. We left our old one in the house in Huntsville, so we put our OLD white one that used to stay in our garage at our house in the house in Hoover since it worked fine and other than being an older style fridge, it was in great condition. Well, ever since we had one of those double door ones, Steve has not been real keen to the idea of downgrading in the fridge dept. So, we looked around tonight, just like we have for the past month and lo and behold, there was a stainless steel fridge JUST like he wanted on SALE! He then decides that he needs to run home and measure the space to make sure it will fit in our kitchen! Well, why he is gone, I go and look around the store, mostly trying to keep up with Emma when I see a row of Dyson vacuum cleaners and as I look at all of them and even closely at the PRICE TAGS.. I start to think "Who in thier right mind spends that much money on a vacuum cleaner?" I then start asking the salesman questions about the vacuum cleaners and why they are SOOOO darn expensive. He told me that Dyson stands behind thier products and in the 1st 5 years, they will repair or REPLACE your vacuum cleaner if it tears up! Well, I go through a $100 vacuum cleaner about once a year so I thought "what the heck???? When Steve got back to the store, I told him I had bought a vacuum cleaner and I think he will think twice before leaving me in a store like that for a long time! ;0)

Camp and other news!

Whew! Sorry it has been so long since my last post! It is sooo hard to blog on our laptop! :0( i am so used to a raised keyboard that when I try to type on the laptop (which is all i have at the apt) it takes me forever because the keys don't work the way i am used too..... So, when we come to Bham for the night, i try to blog away about what i can while I am here!

So, enough about all that..The dealership here is set to open on August 15th which Steve's last day in the Huntsville store will be the 31st of July so that we can get down here and he can get started getting all the things ready for the opening! There is alot for him to do and this is such an amazing experience that he gets to actually run a store! :0) He has only been with this company a little over a year and they already have him in his own store. I think this only shows more of what this company has in store for our family, which is WAY exciting! :0) So in 9 more days, it is GOODBYE apartment living! :0) I will be so glad to be in our house for good and no more coming down for the night and leaving the next day! :0)

On to other things, Brooke and Caroline left for church camp this week! They left on Sunday and they will be back on Thursday! They have been talking about this camp since March so it was GREAT to see all thier waiting pay off! :) I can't wait to hear about all they did and the fun they had! More importantly, I hope for an experience of God's grace to be all over them and for them to come back with an even deeper understanding of what his will is for thier life! :) Here are a few pics of them getting ready to leave for camp! Emma is older than Sadie and she just thinks of Sadie as a baby doll to play with and to see this little girl, that is exactly what she looks like..a doll! TOO CUTE!

Worth watching..

SO we watched a cute movie tonight with some friends of ours for our somewhat traditional movie night! The movie was not one of my favorites of all time, but it was cute movie and def a chick flick! Not sure I would run out and by it, but it was worth watching once at least!

My sweet girl is 10!

Wow.. what a weekend and it is not even over yet! Friday was Brooke's bday so to celebrate we spent the day swimming at the pool! I kept my cousins Thursday night so they were here as well and Hanah is Brooke's age and Jordan is 14 so he was ALOT of help with Brooke, Emma and Hanah.. We swam all day and then came home to get dressed to go bowling for Brooke's birthday! We had wanted to go earlier in the day but it was just so darn hot, we decided to swim instead. So we get home, changed our clothes, and once Steve got home we headed to the bowling alley! We meet some friends of ours and thier little ones there and we put the kids on one lane and us on the one beside and had a blast! The kids LOVED it and everyone had the best time!






We got home last night and realized that the air conditioner in the apartment was not working! :0( I called the office and the answering service answers and they tell me that they cannot work on any A/C units after dark! UUGGHHH! So Jordan and I head off to Wal-Mart to buy fans for the girls so that they can at least get some relief! We get home and get the fans assembled and finally get to bed at 3am! The next morning, I woke up and called the office and they sent the guy out here to fix it! Turned out, it was out of freeon or however you spell that! So at least now, the girls have air conditioning! :0)

After the man left from fixing the air conditioning, we ate some lunch and got ready to head to Justice for Brooke's party! The girls all had ROCKSTAR makeovers and played games before "shopping for goodies" in the store. After they did all thier shopping, they went out in the store window and posed for pictures! It was alot of fun and different from the usual Libby Lu thing we have done for years! Here are a few pics from the party!










She got lots of stuff for her birthday! We got her a new camera, a couple webkinz, 2 CDs and some outfits from Justice~ She also got a Jonas Brothers bookbag, a giftcard from Justice and some posters for her room from her friends!! I am glad the birthday activities were a success but now I am ready for things to get back to normal! :0)
