Happy 2009 everyone! I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year! We stayed home New Years eve as we do almost every year. We grabbed dinner and headed home to watch TV and play the Wii since that is EXACTLY what Emma asked for. :0) Brooke was at her dad's. (Trying to spend all the time, she can before school starts back) We were asked to go to an event at church for fellowship, food and fun but we decided, we would rather stay off the roads. We got a message New Years day that one of our youth ministers had been hit by a stray bullet on the way home from the church new years gathering. Praise God, it went into her left chest and came out under her right arm, hitting nothing but muscle and she was released from the hospital later on that morning. Talk about God's protection! Please pray for her as she recovers, she has to be sore. We are hoping she will be in church on Sunday morning!

We were like you all we stayed in had friends over but I don't like to be out on NYE! We opted out of going to our church's NYE function. I hope your youth minister recovers quickly, how scary for her. Glad that she is ok, it could have been a whole lot worse.
